A Mass Moment
Today at mass, before the Gospel, we will do something very simple. We’ve all done it a thousand times, often without thinking. It takes less than two seconds.
Listening for the Gospel - A small sign of the cross: on our forehead, on our lips, and on our heart.
Today, pick one of those to talk with God about. For example:
- “My mind often feels cluttered with other things. I want to get my mind more focused on your gifts, your mercy, your love.”
- “I don’t need to preach the Book of John in every meeting. But Lord, what are ways I can express your love, your mercy through my everyday words?”
- “Lately I’ve been feeling grief, or anger, or doubt, or frustration, or impatience. Or joy, or delight, or hope, or courage or love. What I want Lord, is for my heart - with all the feelings - to be centered around you. Will you help me?"
